Dear Vineyard Church Family,
I’m writing with deep love and care for you and for our church family. I know that we have been through, and are continuing to navigate, the unique realities of Covid-19. I realize each of us have experienced this in deeply personal ways.
The amazing news in all of this is that Jesus is King! God’s kingdom continues to come and we live with the expectation of Jesus’ prayer: Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven!
As a community we are called to follow Jesus and be a blessing to those around us. With that heart posture, I write to share important Vineyard Family news.
Steven Ruth is resigning his staff position to be obedient to God’s work and call on his life that leads him back to teaching music in the classroom. Through much prayer and conversation, Steven sensed God speaking to him about this decision. While we will undoubtedly miss his contribution to our staff, we support his faithfulness to follow Jesus.
Steven, Misty and their kids have expressed their deep love for The Vineyard and we use this time to fully express our love for them. Yes, this does lead to a real transition among our staff, and yes, we fully express our love and support for them.
I am incredibly thankful for the investment he has made as one of our pastors. Our Board and Staff are so thankful for the heart with which Steven serves. As we have told the Ruth Family, there is a continued place for the Ruths at The Vineyard. This is a community that loves them and we will continue to love them.
I ask for you, our church family, to pray for the Ruths during this time of transition. I ask for you, our church family, to support and bless Steven as he is faithful to God’s leading and guiding in his life. I ask for you, our church family, to speak words of encouragement to Steven, Misty and their kids. We are grateful for their investment in our church family!
I know that Jesus loves his church and I am thankful that He is walking with us.
