Our Story

Find out who we are, where we began, and where we're going as a church.

The Vineyard has always been a community of people desiring to experience the transforming love of Jesus.

We are committed to creating space for new believers to be reached and for followers of Jesus to grow.

On Easter Sunday of 1999, a handful of people gathered in Pearland, Texas as The Vineyard began weekly services for the first time.

From the very beginning, The Vineyard has desired to be a people who experience God in an authentic way while building a community of acceptance, compassion and good news.

In 2011, we moved out of our previous facility on Plum St. to go portable as we planned for our future expansion. We held services at Rogers Middle School as we prayed for growth and continued transformation in our city. We are thankful for the opportunities this venue brought us and the connections we were able to make with our community.

The Vineyard has committed itself to being a people who love. We are convinced that God is love and, with God as our source, we desire to be an expression of love to the community and the world.

The adventure continued as we broke ground on our 5-acre Harkey Rd. property in July 2016. We were so excited to be building a campus together and are so thankful for God's provision and faithfulness through this process.

Welcome home! After a long building process, we held our first service in our new building in March 2018. We are so hopeful for what this space means for us as we continue to grow deeper roots in our city and be the church that God has called us to be.

As we anticipate our future, we want you to know that your story is just as important. We hope that you will check us out and that your story will become part of ours. There is always a place for you here at The Vineyard!
